Quick thoughts

Good place to talk about things. I knew we'd come up with very thoughtful...thoughts. Basically a think tank. If we were to continue such a discussion on such a complex topic I guess it would be helpful to have some kind of discussion map where it shows the basic question with other questions stemming from that along with arguments and what not. Hard to keep everything organized in my head and on the screen.

Do we want to keeping discussing this issue? Or move on to evolution?  J/k.

  1. Something I've sometimes wondered about is the apparent lack of evidence of Noah's flood... Was it hidden on purpose, or are we just looking in the wrong places?

  2. Well, there is a little. Mostly it comes in the form of stories. Dozens of civilizations have a story of a great flood. One of the earliest, from Mesopotamia, is the Epic of Gilgamesh. Google flood legends or something. Quite fascinating.

I love stuff like this, not that it proves anything, but it is quite cool to see things make sense. I was designing an adventurer marionette for my 3D design class a month ago and was googling explorers and the like. Stumbled upon some 17th century explorer who's been forgotten. Apparently he claimed Central and South American civilizations had roots to the middle east or ancient Israel or something. Have a book of my dad's about Masonry and Mormonism. In the book they talk about a Mason who explored archaeology in S. America claimed they had Masonic symbols and stuff down there.

Random history, archaeology, mythology, and a few other related subjects have always been pet hobbies of mine. Once again, no testimony building here, but it is amazing what is left. Oooh--also found an A-Z mythology book in a library once. Under 'A' it mentioned Adam. I thought that was strange. Don't often consider him standard mythology. Apparently, according to some ancient texts Adam had magic clothes that were handed down and gave the wearer protection in battle. Have I ever been able to find that book again? No.

Oh and then the Buddha legends in Asia....I'll leave some of this for another day.
