Lions, tigers, and kids! Oh my!

My lil' bro' Joseph (aka "Joe," among other names), is getting married on the 31st of this month, and Ashley and I have decided to head toward the land of summer atmospheric inversions a day early to enjoy some time at the Zoo (a first for me). You all are invited to attend, and we are wondering if any of you can make it, and if so, when would be the best time (on the 30th) to go.

  1. I was going to call and ask about that. I can get off work or I can work in the morn and go in the afternoon, which would be financially more beneficial to me. But whatever.

  2. Could you post a schedule with locations and times for both days? I can work around other's schedules, I just need to know where to show up.

  3. still working out some things in my head. I don't really have a job or anything so I am cool with anytime. We already did the zoo lately so we might do something else then let you guys hit the zoo.

  4. Here's the run-down. We plan on heading up on the 30th, (Wed.) but the only thing we have so far to do that day is go to the zoo. For Ked's sake, we'll probably go in the afternoon, maybe 2:00 ish? Joseph and Britania are getting married Thursday morning (I have 8:00 in my iPod, but I don't remember if that's when the wedding is or when I'm supposed to be there). We've also got the luncheon sometime somewhere, and Ashley and I have eye appointments at 3:00 in Bountiful, so our Thursday is pretty much taken up already of. Abe mentioned maybe dinner since he's just been to the zoo, what would y'all think of doing the zoo, (those who want to) and then doing dinner?

  5. Wed-
2:00 sounds good for me. I'm meeting with some PPL partners from out of state at 7:00 in Sandy, so if we can be done with dinner by 6:20ish I don't see any problem with that.

    Thur-
I'm free until 6:00. After that I have made arrangements with my Mentor who is flying up from Arizona to spend some time with me and a few others he works closely with in Utah.

I'll see what will work for Melanie and Erin, Jake will be with us too. Sounds like a great gathering already, let's make the most of it!

  6. It's on! Melanie, Jake and I will be going to the zoo around 10:00ish on Wed, and we'll just meet up with everyone when you get there. (There is so much Melanie and I didn't get to see last time we were there, so we're going a little bit early to catch a few shows in the park.) We then plan to stay with the group until after dinner.

  7. I just realized the misleadingness of the original post. Hope this doesn't throw anybody off: You're all invited to attend the Zoo, not necessarily the wedding and all its mayhem. Here I am wielding somebody else's Power of Invitation... oops! Sorry 'bout that :)

Anyway. I'll be to the zoo about 2:00, I figure we'll have dinner in time for Nate to be done by 6:20, and that's the only constraint I think we're working with.

  8. So, I am posting the day before the event.

2:00 is great...if the trooper holds up and doesn't die going up to SLC. Cursed radiator problems!
